Terms

Who these terms are for

These terms cover the free AWS bill check and any work you ask KeelOps to do after it. Our services are for businesses, not for private consumers. By sending the form or granting access you confirm that you may act for your company and its cloud account.

The free AWS bill check

The bill check is free and does not commit you to anything. You grant view-only access to your own AWS account. That access cannot change anything and cannot open stored files or database records. We read your bill and send a written report, normally within 48 hours of getting access. The report is yours to keep and use, whether or not you work with us.

You can remove our access at any time by deleting the role. We ask you to remove it when the check is done.

Making the cuts

Nothing changes in your account until you approve it in writing. We list each change before we make it: what it is, what it saves and what it could affect. If a change needs more than view-only access, you grant that access yourself and can remove it at any time.

Your AWS account, your bill and your payment method stay yours. You keep paying AWS directly. We never see or touch your payment details.

Our fee: 25% of what we saved you

The bill check is free. If you ask us to make the cuts, we bill only for what actually leaves your invoice.

  • We measure the saving on your real AWS invoice, against your own bill from the three months before we start, not against list prices or a dashboard estimate.
  • Discounts you already have are not counted as our saving.
  • For long-term discounts (Savings Plans and reserved capacity), our fee is 25% of what they actually save you.
  • Each month our fee is 25% of that month's saving. If the invoice does not go down, the fee is $0.
  • We send one invoice a month with the numbers it is based on, so you can check it against your AWS invoice.

Example: your bill drops by $2,000 in a month. You keep $1,500 and we bill $500. If your bill does not drop, we bill nothing.

Plans and other services

Ongoing care (backups, monitoring, updates and the other services) is offered on monthly plans at the prices printed on the plans page, or by a written quote for one-off projects. You approve every change in writing before it happens. Every plan is month to month with no exit fee.

Stopping

You can stop any month, with no exit fee. Tell us in writing and remove our access. Our share ends when you stop, and we bill only for the months before that.

What we promise and what we do not

We do the work carefully, with a senior engineer checking each finding and change. We do not promise a particular saving or percentage, because it depends on your account. AWS itself and other providers are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their outages, price changes or terms.

If something goes wrong because of our work, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost data, except where the law does not allow this limit.

Confidentiality

What we see in your account and bill stays confidential. We use it only to do the work you asked for, and we do not share it with anyone else. Example numbers on this website are examples, not client data.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we update this page and the date at the top. Changes to fees never apply to a month that has already started, and we tell existing clients in writing before they take effect.
